In 1974, Raffaele and Maria Abbenante immigrated from the small Italian island of Ponza and began selling pizza by the slice in Lake Worth, Florida. Drawing from Maria’s traditional Italian recipes, they introduced the authentic flavors of Italy to South Florida. Over the next 35 years, the Abbenante family served thousands of locals and visitors, and Lynora’s quickly earned a reputation as one of the best Italian restaurants in the region.
Today, at Lynora’s, Maria can often still be seen in the kitchen, personally preparing meals with the same care and passion that started it all.
